BMC Knight Series Pool Cues Info

Info on the BMC Knight Series Pool Cues

The design of the 2019 BMC Knight cue series has it's roots in the Meucci "Mary Avina" series (a line of Meucci-branded cues commissioned by Mary 'Princess' Avina, a professional pool player). The BMC Knight cue was one design from that line, called the Avina Golden Knight cue.

Mr. Ellison of A&W Billiards resurrected the Golden Knight's design in late 2018 when he commissioned it as an exclusive new BMC-branded series of Knight cues in various colors. It was to be a limited, serialized series of six colors (blue/turquoise, purple, red/rose-pink, green, grey, and brown/orange), with each color produced in quantities of 10 (60 cues in total). Each of those was to be numbered (xx of 10) on the forearm under a "Robert J. Meucci" signature. They were being retailed at a whopping $1500 each. Here's a note from Bob Meucci confirming:

According to Mr. Ellison (and verified by Mrs Marino of Meucci Cues) they were ordered, counter-intuitively, in descending serial order—meaning the first cues would get #10 of 10, the next #9, and so on.

A&W Billiards did put the cues on sale for one month, from 2019-10-15 to 2019-11-15, for $1100:

On January 7, 2020, six of the BMC Knight cues were stolen from an A&W Billiards display case located at Rack & Roll Billiards in Anniston, AL. The stolen numbers had not been announced. This was the public post on Facebook from the day after the theft:

2020-01-08

Be on the lookout for anybody trying to sell the Meucci Knight cue stick.

A reward of $1500 is being offered for any information that's provided to help find this scumbag piece of shit that broke in and stole 6 of my limited edition A&W Knight Meucci cues numbered and signed by Robert Meucci. Please share. We need to identify this person and keep him from doing the same thing at any other billiard room in Alabama, Georgia, or anywhere. I will be personally sending an email to everyone in Alabama. If anyone comes in with one of my sticks, I'll give you a copy of the picture, and you can call me and I will come down to wherever you are I will personally give you the $1500. And if you can hold him there long enough for me to get there we'll have some fun. I hope everyone on this site will share with other pool room [owners] and FB for them and tell them there's $500 in it if they call police 1st and that ends in a conviction, or if they called me first it's $1500.

It is not clear how many of the original 10 of each color were ever made, but sales efforts seem to have slowed after the theft occurred.

Then, in September 2020, BMC Knight cues started appearing for sale, un-numbered, on Seybert's, for only $960. According to Mr. Ellison, it was a mistake (on Meucci Cue's part) and was being rectified (though the details were not made public).

In an October, 2020 request to identify one of the Knight cues, someone pointed out the fact that the same model/design was now for sale at Seybert's Billiards Supply, a popular online billiard supply retailer from Coldwater, MI, for $960 (un-numbered). Anthony Ellison, owner of A&W Billiards responded, mentioning that it was a "mistake".

As of February 2021, the BMC Knight cues were still available for sale at Seybert's in all six initial colors.

Later in 2021, a few new inlay colors surfaced for sale through Seybert's, including yellow shell, natural abalone, and a grey shell on grey-stained maple.
